How do we support primary FI students who find mastering the French language code challenging? This interactive workshop introduces primary FI teachers to engaging structured literacy activities inspired by our resource, Ecoutons, lisons, rions. Participants will learn how to use comical comptines, storytelling and language games to contextualize the teaching of inferencing skills, receptive/expressive vocabulary, phonological awareness and basic sounds to develop a student’s literacy skills in French.
